We are Moving!
Effective January 1, 2021, the office will be located at:
2667 Camino Del Rio South, Suite 305-1
San Diego, CA 92108
The office will be open on Tuesdays & Thursdays for in-person appointments. Due to the COVID pandemic and the increase in telehealth (Video) requests, we will not be opening on other days at this time. If this changes in the future, you will be notified. If you are interested in receiving in-person appointments on Tuesday or Thursday, please notify us and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
I would like you all to welcome the new additions to our team: Yasmin Facey (Administrator) & Cierra Guerra (Therapist Intern). [COMING SOON] You can learn more about them by visiting our website (www.blueprintmylife.com) and clicking on their profile under the "About BCS" section.
Appointments & Scheduling
Beginning January 1, 2021: You will be able to access the Calendar feature in the client portal to manage your appointments. This will include scheduling, rescheduling and cancellations. (Reschedules & Cancellations must be made within 24 hours notice). A new appointment time is not guaranteed. If we are unable to accommodate your new appointment request, you will have to resume at your next scheduled session during your regular time slot.
Also, you will be charged for late cancellations (less than 24 hours notice) and No Show appointments. When you consented to services, you acknowledged and agreed to these fees. Everyone has a fresh start beginning January 1, 2021. You are allowed 3 "attendance violations", before you will be charged a fee. You must pay that fee before you will be added back to the calendar. No exceptions!
Fees are as follows:
Late Cancellation (Less than 24 hours notice) $25.00
No Show (No Call/ No text/ No Show, or Cancelled within 2 hours of your appointment time) $50.00
So, please be mindful and respectful of your therapists' time and fellow Blueprinters who could have been seen in that time slot. You will have access to the calendar to manage your appointments, so there is no reason (unless it's an emergency) why you should have multiple "attendance violations".
**Please note: If you do not participate in therapeutic services for a period of 30 days or more, your case will be closed. Therapy is beneficial when you are consistent; therefore, we would prefer you commit to services consistently so you can get the results you need.
All Blueprinters have access to the client portal. The portal allows you to complete paperwork, receive/ upload important documents and notices, manage your appointments, and pay your invoices. If BCS sends you paperwork, please complete all REQUIRED documents. You will receive 3 text reminders to complete documentation. If you fail to do so, you will be removed from the calendar until it is completed.
BCS has been a contractor with the Veterans Administration (Region 4) for ~3 years. During this time, there have been several program changes that adversely affect our ability to provide former service members with ongoing, consistent services. In the past, we would do our best to advocate on your behalf, submit additional requests, and/ or provide our Veterans with continued uncompensated mental health services. Moving forward, We need you all (Veterans) to HELP US, HELP YOU receive additional treatment. You will be notified of your authorization expiration date and I expect you to contact your PCM, Community Care and/ or Mental Health Department to request additional services. Effective June 2020, your local VAMC handles all authorization requests, NOT TRIWEST. If BCS does not receive an updated authorization, you will have to close for services on your expiration date.
In order to continue services with BCS, you have the following options:
Receive a new authorization from the VA
Use your private health insurance to include Copays. (Only if BCS is paneled with your insurance provider).
Pay for services out of your own pocket (Standard or Sliding Scale Rates)
Fees are payable at the time that services are rendered.
If payment is not received, you will receive an invoice. Please ask me if you wish to discuss a written agreement that specifies an alternative payment procedure. [This does not apply to clients utilizing health insurance unless the fee is for a late cancellation, no-show, or other services].
As previously discussed and stated in your therapy contract, services are provided for 6 months at the reduced rate. You will be notified 30 days prior to your end date that it's time for a financial review.
You will have the following options:
Planned termination at the end of the service term and a referral list to community providers and/ or agencies.
Continue services at the standard rate or by utilizing health insurance of which the therapist provider must accept.
Close services and be placed on the wait-list until there's an opening.
Current Clients: If you have been in services for 6+ months, you will be provided with a 30-day notice and the same options above (Termination, Increase in Rate/ Use of Insurance, Wait List).
