BCS Updates (7/12/2020)

Hello Current & Potential Blueprinters! I hope this post finds you and your family well during these difficult times. I'm so proud of all of you for prioritizing your emotional and mental needs. As your therapist, it's also important for me to model the same values and skills that I so diligently preach to you. Therefore, please take note of upcoming changes within Blueprint Counseling Solutions. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know during our next session. -Latisha J.


Effective August 1, 2020: All current Blueprinters are welcome to resume Face-to-face office visits. Please notify Latisha as soon as possible, if you want to return to the office. You will be required to: (1) Sign a Liability Waiver, (2) Wear a Mask in the building and common areas.

If you need to reschedule an appointment, you must give 48 hours notice by phone or text. A new appointment time is not guaranteed. If we are unable to accommodate your new appointment request, you will have to resume at your next scheduled session during your regular slot.

Clients will no longer have the option to schedule, cancel or reschedule appointments on the client portal. Blueprint Counseling Solutions has a full caseload and can no longer accommodate last minute changes or requests. However, you can still complete all required paperwork and upload documents on to the client portal.

Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS)

Effective July 1, 2020: NOTICE TO All CURRENT AND POTENTIAL CLIENTS: The Board of Behavioral Sciences receives and responds to complaints regarding services provided within the scope of practice of (marriage and family therapists, licensed educational psychologists, clinical social workers, or professional clinical counselors). You may contact the board online at www.bbs.ca.gov, or by calling (916) 574-7830.

Service Rate Changes

Effective August 1, 2020: Due to the increase in counseling requests, we will be maintaining a wait list for potential clients without health insurance or who can not afford the standard rate of $90 per session for Individual Counseling; $135 for Couples/ Family Counseling.

Future clients who receive services on a Sliding Scale (Reduced Rate/ Pro Bono) will be limited to 6 months of services at the agreed upon rate. Clients will be provided with a 30-day notice and the following options to choose from:

(1) Planned termination at the end of the service term and a referral list to community providers and/ or agencies.

(2) Continue services at the standard rate or by utilizing health insurance of which the therapist provider must accept.

(3) Close services and be placed on the wait-list until there's an opening.

Current Clients: If you have been in services for 6+ months, you will be provided with a 30-day notice and the same options above (Termination, Increase in Rate/ Use of Insurance, Wait List).
